72kg after 610kg. How it feels to be able to move on your own

Sudden fame overtook Khalid Shaari from Saudi Arabia in 2013.

Then the name of the 22-year-old guy was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the heaviest person living at that time.

Khalid’s registered record weight was 610 kilograms, and the young man himself had not left his apartment for several years, as he simply did not fit in the doorway.

Who knows how much longer Khalid would not have been able to leave the house if not for the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al Saud.

It was he who, after learning that the 610-kilogram record holder lives in the kingdom, ordered to help the guy get rid of excess weight.

He also paid for the treatment in full and took care of all related expenses.

But even getting Khalid to the clinic in Riyadh was not the easiest task.

A whole team of movers, installers, doctors and builders was needed to help the 610-kilogram guy get to the place of treatment.

Specialists dismantled part of the wall of the building, and then on a loader lowered down a specially designed bed on which Khalid was.

As it turned out, Khalid’s excess weight was caused not only by overeating and improper nutrition, but also by genetic abnormalities that had to be eliminated as soon as possible.

As a result of a series of procedures and the coordinated work of many specialists, Khalid was able to get rid of almost four hundred kilograms of excess weight in three years.

Now he could move around on his own and even perform some physical exercises, so necessary for him to lose weight.

Now Khalid Shaari is 31 years old, and his weight is about 72 kilograms.

He is actively involved in sports and leads a healthy lifestyle.

The man is ready for anything, just to never get into the Record Book again.

In any case, not with a record for its own weight.

Khalid is very grateful to Abdullah Al Saud for giving him a ticket to a new life.

Unfortunately, the king passed away in 2015, and he did not have time to see the final result of weight loss.
