An Australian tawny frogmouth baby that was stuck to the ground looked up at
its nest in the tree. The chick, unable to fly, chose to remain put out of
possible dread that it would never again be able to go home.

chick, a Good Samaritan contacted a nearby animal rescue group. When rescuers
came, they were disappointed but not shocked to see the chick all by herself.

Rescuers transferred the chick to a carrier so they could examine its wounds.
