Young mothers have to work with a child in their arms, and – in the literal sense of this phrase.
This is confirmed by a photo published by American Elizabeth Baker.
She showed how hard it is for working mothers because of a short decree.
The picture caused heated debates in social networks and pushed many to the main question – why do young mothers have to be torn between work and a child?
The picture that Baker added shows her 27-year-old employee Melody Blackwell.
The girl is holding a 5-month-old daughter in her arms and at the same time is engaged in work.
It is clearly visible that the young mother is already pretty tired.
After the birth of her daughter, Melody spent 3 months on maternity leave, and then, as expected, returned to work.
However, it was not easy for her to get used to the new schedule.
Melody was very worried about her daughter, because she understood how much a small child needs her love and attention.
Fortunately, her boss Elizabeth Baker entered the position of a young mother.
She allowed Melody to work from home and come to the office only on Mondays.
Moreover, Baker allowed the girl to take her 5-month-old daughter with her, because she did not want to separate mother and child.
Melody was very grateful to her boss for such a humane act.
And so, Elizabeth decided to show how a young mother works in her arms with a baby.
“Look how happy and calm this little girl is.
After all, she is together with her beloved mother, who can breastfeed, kiss and caress her at any time,” Elizabeth said and urged other employers from the United States to follow her example.
Note that 12-week maternity leave in the United States is not paid.
Money can be received only if the employer agrees to it.
