A pregnant woman picked up a cat in a position — and gave birth to it on the same day

At the sight of the wounded cat, the heart of the expectant mother shrank. She decided to help a new friend, despite the late pregnancy.

Lauren Mainers has been taking on overexposure animals that needed a home for many years. The girl nursed and nursed sick pets, and then looked for new owners for them. But when Lauren became pregnant with Kylie’s daughter, she decided to take a break from her charity work and devote herself entirely to the child. But she had to step back from her decision when a cat named Dove entered her life.

Lauren and her husband found her in an empty parking lot. The cat was injured and could not move. And it turned out that she was going to be a mother very soon–just like Lauren. The woman’s heart sank. She beckoned the cat with food and, as soon as she got up, wrapped her in a jacket and took her to the vet.

After the doctor’s examination, the couple took the Pigeon home. Future parents tried to find her owners, but local residents said that the cat had lived on the street all her life. Lauren is not used to leaving animals in trouble and, despite the late pregnancy, decided to help the Pigeon and her kittens.

Lauren had a special connection with her new ward. Two expectant mothers spent all the time together, lived the same feelings and understood each other without words. “She followed me everywhere with her tail and loved to sit next to me in our small courtyard. We had breakfast together, and I stroked her stomach,” Lauren told The Dodo.

The time came, and Lauren went to the hospital to meet her daughter, and when she returned, she found that the Dove had become a mother of six adorable kittens. The hostess and her pet gave birth almost simultaneously! And then the usual worries, known to all parents, began. The kittens were growing up – as was Kylie, who, closer to five months, began to pay attention to them and follow with interest how they eat and play.

When the kittens got strong enough, Lauren and her family found new owners for all seven pets. The family was sorry to part with the animals, to which they had already become attached, but, fortunately, the Pigeon and her cubs did not go far. Mom-cat settled in the house of her close friend, so Lauren has the opportunity to visit her pet from time to time, which made the waiting time for the baby even more unforgettable.
