Crossfit on the 36th week of pregnancy. Amazing story

Is crossfit in the last month of pregnancy crazy?

Not for this American woman…

Sport occupies an important place in Lauren Ferris’ life, and she continued to practice crossfit during both of her pregnancies.

Photographer Joann Marrero made a great photo shoot at Lauren’s workout.

These pictures are stunning.

The mind refuses to believe in what is happening.

There is an opinion that pregnant women can not play sports, especially strength training.

But 29-year-old Lauren Ferris from Connecticut breaks all stereotypes.

Lauren has been actively training for five years.

At the end of last year, when these photos were taken, she was waiting for her second son, who was born at the end of February.

Lauren’s friend, professional photographer Joanne Marrero, did a photo shoot during a workout.

Lauren was 36 weeks pregnant at the time, but she was lifting weights and actively training using the crossfit system.

Despite the approaching birth, she continued training, including lifting the barbell and jumping on the pedestal.

Lauren behaved the same way during her first pregnancy.

She is sure that it was thanks to sports that her labor was easy and short, and postpartum recovery was fast.

“I hardly change anything in the training schedule.

I’ve given up on some things, like squats and lifting especially heavy weights, but otherwise I’m training as before.”

Now the eldest son of Lauren and her husband Garrett is 2 years old, and parents often take the baby with them to the gym.

The boy takes an active part in training, he even has his own plastic dumbbells.

Lauren says that by taking part in the photo shoot, she wanted to inspire other women to continue playing sports during pregnancy.

“I hope that the photos will show everyone that pregnancy does not prevent women from staying strong and capable of a lot,” says Lauren.

Her condition is monitored by an experienced coach who does not allow overloads.
