“I walked while I had enough strength”: the secret of a woman who managed to lose 60 kg

After the baby was born, her body seemed to be out of control. Kilogram by kilogram, she gained more and more until she was ashamed to look in the mirror. At the age of 23, she already weighed 135 kg. And then I decided to act.

Natalie got pregnant early — at the age of 20. Being in a position, against the background of high blood pressure, the young girl began to gain weight quite quickly. The baby was born a little prematurely. Soon the young mother was informed that her son had autism.

“I tried my best to adapt to this new reality. It was quite difficult to keep up with all of Leighton’s needs, but I did it while neglecting my own,” recalls Natalie.

Three years later, she discovered that there was a fat, tired woman standing in front of the mirror, ashamed of her own reflection. It’s time to act — that’s just how?

Natalie started by walking 2 kilometers around the lake in the park, pushing a stroller with her son in front of her.

“The first time it took all my strength. But I could! The second time was already easier. Then I realized that I was on the right track,” says the girl.

This was a turning point: Natalie decided to combine long walks with a healthy diet. Over time, classes in the gym were added to this.

Now a young mother has much more strength and energy to take care of her special child. In a year and a half, she has lost 60 kg, and now successfully combines work with regular sports. But physical activity is not the only thing that helped Natalie achieve such fantastic results in the fight against excess weight.

“Before, I just didn’t care what I was eating and how much water I was drinking. But this was clearly not enough. Now I eat mostly fruits and vegetables, meat, and drink a lot of water,” the girl says. Such a diet, according to her, helps a lot to stay slim.

Now Natalie weighs 75 kg. Her advice to other moms who find themselves one-on-one in the fight against excess weight sounds very simple:

“Just start with something. This will already help you feel much better. If I’ve had a really stressful day, I know that the gym in the evening will fix everything. Over time, it really becomes a great therapy.”
