My daughter didn’t hear at all: mom figured out how to support her daughter

This story began 4 years ago in Australia.

An absolutely healthy girl Jamie was born in one of the local clinics.

The parents were insanely happy, but during the first month of the baby’s life they noticed that something was wrong with the child.

“Our baby didn’t react to the sounds at all. And we decided to go to the doctors,” recalls the head of the family Ben.

Doctors confirmed that the girl has serious hearing problems.

The right ear does not hear at all, and the hearing in the left is reduced several times.

There was only one way out – surgery and fixing a special hearing aid.

Mom Lisa Pliksh says that Jamie quickly got used to the implant and there were no problems with it for the first few months.

It all started after the girl started teething.

“My baby grew up, became interested in the world around her.

She successfully chewed our first hearing aid.

And at that moment I thought that it would be nice to fix it,” says Lisa.

What was the disappointment of the mother when in a specialty store she met only a couple of models of caps to which implants were attached. And they didn’t have a special design, they were boring and rather dull.

“I realized that I had to make a design for hearing aids myself.

After a little thought, I sewed a soft bright bandage that securely held the implant and decorated my daughter.”

It is worth noting that this idea was liked not only by Jamie, but also by her friends.

Lisa had her first orders for sewing such headbands.

My daughter grew up, and the design of the fasteners changed.

Now I use rhinestones, sequins, earrings, fabric for decoration. Jamie and I are currently working together to create jewelry.

My daughter loves pink and shiny stones.”

Lisa Pliksh’s popularity in creating accessories for hearing aids has grown so much that she had to open her own online store called “Lisa’s Quiet World”.
