Toshka the bear was moved to the reserve to enjoy himself at least in retirement age, since most of his life was spent entertaining the most diverse audience in the circus where he performed.
According to an employee of the reserve in Satanov, Ukraine, the bear was afraid of people and preferred not to be noticed when he first appeared in that very reserve.
It took some time, or rather, about half a month, but in the end, Toshka, fortunately, was able to adapt to the new conditions and now he just loves to sit for a long time, basking in the rays of the sun.
So he was filmed sitting under the sun, “taking a shower” and licking the water that falls on him, refreshing him.
Apparently, this is one of the bear’s favorite activities, and it is not surprising, because the temperature in this area can rise up to 35 degrees Celsius in the season.
An employee of the shelter said that from an early age he worked in a circus and only the last owner handed him over so that he could be rehabilitated in the reserve and could live with dignity, since he had already passed the age when he could perform tricks.
He added that three more bears were transported to their reserve, but Toshka was the most timid and refused to leave the bushes for half a month.
But then, thanks to love, care he was able to get used to the new conditions and now just loves to enjoy an outdoor shower.
