The previous owners of the wonderful dog Nora were truly heartless people. They treated her so terribly that the poor animal is still afraid of people and doesn’t trust them, except for one exception – the little child in the current family she lives with.
Seven years ago, Nora was adopted from a shelter by her current owners. Despite her difficult past, Nora didn’t become aggressive or hardened. Her owner, Elizabeth, wasn’t scared to adopt her, and she immediately felt confident that Nora would be the perfect family pet.
Elizabeth’s family is large, with Nora being one of three dogs they’ve rescued from shelters, three cats, and the joyous addition last year – Elizabeth’s baby, Archie.
It’s precisely between the reserved and not very sociable Nora and the baby Archie that a unique bond has formed. Nora, still haunted by childhood traumas, doesn’t form strong attachments to people, but she absolutely adores little Archie.
She doesn’t leave his side, even during bath time when Archie patiently waits on the rug. When Archie is in his mother’s arms, Nora sits at her feet. Archie and his faithful pet sleep together, with Nora watching over the baby’s slumber. The parents are delighted with this connection, believing that love and a tender relationship with animals should be cultivated from a young age.
